So, you have AdSense boxes on your site, but they are not doing anything for you. Is there something wrong with the ads or the placement? Yes. AdSense is a very useful tool, but you have to know the ins and outs of using the program. I will provide you with the TOP TIPS you need to get AdSense to cash in for you. From experience I have learnt the following.

• Don’t make your Ads stick out like a sore thumb.

Although most people are only now ’successfully’ integrating adsense into their sites, there are some people who just don’t think about it. Where do you put adsense? You have to customize the adsense to go with your website or blog.

How I cloak my AdSense Ads?

• Make sure that the links on the AdSense box or banner are the same colour as the links on your site.
• Place the Adsense boxes or banner in your content, not underneath or on top, make sure it’s on the left or the right of your content (people will be reading your content so there will be a higher possibility that they will see the ad and click on it)
• Don’t make it look like a GoogleAdSense ad, change it, mix it around, make sure that the text colour is the same colour at the text on your website, and ensure that the link underneath the description of the ad is not 100% visible, some people use a trick, they colour the link white so that on a white background page you cannot see the link. (Google may have detected this recently and have prevented it from hapenning unfortunately)

Do not designate a special column that makes it look like it is an AdSense column.

• By designating the column and leaving it on it’s own you are screaming for people NOT TO CLICK the ads because it’s just this big list of links.

So many people use AdSense in our day and age, but so many of them get it wrong, even if they have been blogging for a year or more, some people are still ‘decorating’ it with red borders and rounded corners when their website has a blue theme.
