OpTempo.Com Reviewed

I found OpTempo as one of the commentators on a recent post. He was able to provide me with some very constructive comments for the post so I decided to contact him and arrange a review exchange. My review is as follows:

OpTempo.Com: www.OpTempo.com is an experiment in rapid paced blog, there are some very highly ambitious goals for the website in the about me section which are absolutely fantastic. Why would someone want to write 10 posts per day? There are many answers to this, but one of my main responses would be that if you are writing so many posts per day you are bound to be indexed by Google within two months or less. Post frequency matters if you want to be indexed in Google.

How’s the blog? Does it look good? OpTempo is a very good blog, it provides readers with a very broad range of topics to read upon, these links and others are neatly arrange in a column dedicated to the site’s navigation (very good for readers). The blog is very well organised, although it has many advertising programs running they are all neatly arranged in two columns on either side (I really like this because the content is not interrupted by paid text links and advertising in general.

Anything else? Frank offers other bloggers to guest blog on OpTempo.Com which is always very effective. After reading a few of his posts I was very impressed by the quality and consistency of the blogging. He definitely has some invaluable advice and opinions which he provides almost effortlessly. I checked out the post http://optempo.com/2007/10/06/10-things-you-can-do-to-uncomplicate-your-life/, the subject matter was concerning life and things which we can do to make it less complicated, it was indeed an excellent post.

I also checked out why BlogRush sucks, and it was a very insightful post, I have also discussed BlogRush’s promise which it did not keep on my blog and it continues to be a very popular topic in the blogosphere. The post discussed various aspects of BlogRush which I would not have thought of and that is fantastic.

A few last notes: www.optempo.com has RSS which is a standard for blogs nowadays, it also has email subscription (which is growing in popularity). The sitemap which the blog provides is very good for any visitor wanting to discover posts which they might have missed on the site.
