Monetizing Traffic, PPC, InVideo, Affiliates

Monetizing Traffic is one of the most important things to do if you are a blogger seeking some income. Although there are so many services out there, it is always difficult to find the one that satisfies you and serves your needs. Monetizing traffic can be done in various ways, using various different programs.

Pay Per Click: This is probably the simplest form of traffic monetization which works well for some people and not as well for others. Pay Per Click is best used on sites where people are not aware that you are getting paid, especially if the links are well blended in and do not denote where they are from (www.adbrite.com). AdBrite does a great job of this because their ads are highly customizable.

Affiliate Programs: Affiliate programs are your next best bet. They are really good because they just sit there and people can check them out, especially if they have attractive front covers…it’s a small thing that goes a very long way. Don’t get the affiliate programs with the expensive ebooks! Get the ones which have reasonably priced ebooks.

InVideo: This is a new service which allows people to view videos whilst ads are popping up unobtrusively while you are watching. AdBrite, YuMe (http://www.yumenetworks.com/) and ScanScout are a couple of networks offering this type of video. (http://www.scanscout.com/)

Voxant Video (International) & Click To Play (USA ONLY): Voxant gives you the ability to show videos on your site whilst earning money for every impression and each time the video is viewed, in addition to this you earn two or three tier commissions for your referrals. Google introduced video advertising recently, this will only be available for USA at the present point in time.
