Make Money Online – Writing Articles

January 4th, 2008 by Fabien

Writing Content for a living: Going back to my post about the most annoying thing with paid posts I decided to find ways of making money that will not impact so destructively on RSS readers and readers in general. My findings were good but not the greatest…Paid posts are still a very lucrative way to generate income and I am finding it hard to seek out a replacement. It was also pointed out that I might begin a secondary website to support this one, but that takes time but I will still be working on it.

Associated Content (www.associatedcontent.com): I have heard a lot of good news about Associated Content, from what I heard you can write content on a wide range of subjects in a very wide range of formats, I heard that the pay is quite good as well and it is an effective way to make money online, one problem I noticed was the last time I tried to sign up is they accepted only US residents.

Daytipper (www.daytipper.com) : I checked the site out and DayTipper will give you $3 for every tip you give them and the tip is validated, Tips are really short, only 2 to 3 lines long, so I guess it is value for money. I am not 100% sure how many tips you can submit per day, but there must be some sort of limit or else people would go tip crazy and make millions!

Helium (www.helium.com) : This is a network also for you to publish content, you do earn for your articles and you can compete for more money at the marketplace. I will probably be joining Helium soon to test it out, anyone heard good or bad comments about it? The site looks pretty professional so I’ll join and tell you how I go.

Digital Journal (www.digitaljournal.com) : This site has the concept down to a fine art…but payouts seem pretty bad, the top citizen journalist for December 2007 only earned $200…some pocket change to most good bloggers.

Software Judge (www.softwarejudge.com) : I know that John from www.johntp.com has been using doing some reviews for this company, I am not sure about the pay outs build I believe they are pretty good since John recommends using it to make some extra cash. What do you do? Pretty simple, you review software and get paid for reviewing it.

Hubpages (www.hubpages.com): This is very new to me, so I do not have much experience, you can try it out and tell me what you think about it, I will be trying it out, the incentive is that you can earn good income. You also write content and submit articles using hub pages…more about it when I get started.

Squidoo (www.squidoo.com): Hmmmm…I still do not have a lens, I should probably get one soon and I will be doing so, I heard that revenue is shared at Squidoo, is this true? What are the earning like? I have never used it before so it would be interesting to find out.

Final Comments: Writing content may not be the best way to start making a living online but it is a start towards getting some income, if you get into the habit maybe it could become a full time thing, but the internet is literally filled with money making opportunities, they just need to be fished out, oh check out www.mylot.com and www.freeiq.com – I hear you can make some money with these as well.

jothi’s last blog post..make money here

  3. Hi

I’ve tried Helium and MyLot – both were not for me. You can make money from writing articles – I’ve been making mine via freelance writing. I find that the minute you go through a 3rd party like Helium, you earn less.

Anyway, thanks for the post. I found you via Idiot’s Guide to Blogging.

    take care…

  4. Those are some great websites that you’ve shared where people can begin making money online writing articles. There are many ways that people can make money online but writing articles is one of the easiest. If people are good at writing and devote the time to it, people can easily make $100 a day writing articles for people. There are many people online involved with Adsense, Kontera or many other publisher programs and are looking for content. If people write good they can make great money online.

Excellent blog about how to make money online. People will definitely learn a thing or two. Keep up the great work!

    Sincerely,

  5. Really great post. I wanted to add Suite 101 (http://www.suite101.com) to your list. You can also make money posting on Triond (http://www.triond.com), but I haven’t tried it out yet.

One more tip for interested writers: Once you publish an article on a site, seed the link on places like Digg and Newsvine for more hits!

  7. To be honnest with you it helped only a little. i’d like you guys to try and enlighten me more on making money by writing cuz i’m still not clear enough.
    thanks

  8. Hi guys,

I’m launching a new website like the one you’ve tested. You publish the news, you use your social network to make it buzz and you earn 100% of your article ads (we use your own Google AdSense account). You can start in 3 steps. We are just at the beginning in a beta version. The website : http://www.terriantribune.com

    Have fun !

  9. 95% of your article submissions should be done automatically with software that will generate as many as you need from content that you find elsewhere, and submits it for you. In the odd occasion that you want to write something yourself, I’ve written a step by step guide check it out if you like http://www.iwritearticles.info/index-1.html

    Good luck guys,

    Mark

  10. Mark: Thanks for your insider tips, I believe it is important to get advice from people who are in the article submission arena like yourself. I agree fully that automated submissions can drastically reduce workload and is effective in helping marketers to corner a market.

  11. I joined Helium this week and published one article with them. Too soon to truly evaluate it but in terms of getting the euphoric thrill of saying you have published it is a good site. The writing is competitive and above average from other sites mentioned. Best tip I received about Helium is choose a title with less than 5 articles in it. Other writers will compare your article with the rest under that title and vote for the best one. I do have a cautionary comment…if you’re writing just to make money, Helium might not be for you. If you’re writing because you love it…definitely give it a whirl.

  12. You did a nice job. Thanks abunch. My own website is a good one for all webhosting services. Over 300 pages.
