Ways To Increase Your RSS Subscriber Readership

Subscribe To My Blog! Thanks :) RSS Subscribers: Getting RSS subscribers can be a pain for some, yet others find it so easy to get many of them very quickly. Is there a reason for this? Probably. The only reason why people are not subscribing to your feed is either because they are not interested in the content or the content is not up to scratch.

Subscribers Take A While: If people coming to your blog like the content and you keep providing more of it very frequently, they will probably subscribe to your blog. It may not be today, tomorrow or in a month’s time, but they will come back. I noticed that I only started to subscribe to blogs I liked after about three months of reading them.

Why? You may be asking, the simple fact is that I don’t really think about subscribing and one day it just occurs to me that I should subscribe. Perhaps it is a trust thing, or I am just checking if that particular blog continually provides good content.

How do you increase RSS subscriber readership? As always, there is no straight answer to this, each person has their own opinion. There are a couple of people who believe full feed RSS will get more people to subscribe than partial feed RSS…but that’s one opinion. (More: Do Full Feeds Increase Your RSS Subscriber Count? There are some people who believe bigger RSS subscription buttons will help you get more subscribers, like JohnTP (A Simple Tip To Improve Your RSS Readership). Maybe you might want to Create A Dedicated Subscription Page?). DoshDosh has disproved many common blogosphere “beliefs” in this post about RSS readership growth without the “gift-wrap” so to speak, it is a must read: Why Readers Subscribe To A Blog).

There are obviously several ways you can go about increasing RSS readership, but in the end I guess it all boils down to, what you are writing about, do you have a good target audience and how you write (some conversational forms of blog posts entice readers more than informational styles).

Thanks Online Empire, Getting RSS subscribers is not difficult but you just have to attract people to your blog…which is the difficult part I think. Getting good traffic is key.
