One Huge Internet Explosion! Jason Boom Dot Com

Despite being a relatively new blog, Jason Boom has not taken long to prove his worth in the blogosphere. He is building a considerable amount of buzz already and I have no doubt that the blog will continue to grow. The site has many features and elements which I admire, one being that the site is very well organized and you can find what you are looking for quickly and efficiently.

Site Design: Jason Boom dot com is using a theme which is quite unique, the footer does indicate it is a free theme, but it is not one that is in mass circulation (which is always very beneficial to your branding). The theme is, as mentioned, very neat and organized. The navigation is simple and easy to use, with a master navigation bar at the top and some secondary categorical links in the right sidebar.

Branding and Color Scheme Integration: The site is currently using a mix of orange and dark colours in the foreground and light browns (beige) in the background. The Jason Boom logo is particularly effective for brand recognition, it is unique, creative and is an aspect of the site that many will remember. In addition to this the avatar/display picture is used consistently at other sites like Entrecard which adds once again to the recognition of the brand.

Content Quality: Jason does a fantastic job in delivering high quality content consistently. Despite the blog being in existence for only a few months…I was able to find a plethora of quality articles to choose from. The articles are written in a methodical approach and Jason shows evidence of research and opinion in many of them. Here are a few articles I found interesting.

1. Ten Reasons To Write Well, Not Good: Discusses how writing well can add to your reputation in the blogosphere as a high quality article creator. In addition to this it discusses how to get noticed by blog owners by writing insightful comments that you will be admired and respected for.

2. What Would Simon Cowell Say About Your Blog?: I must say that this article got me thinking quite a bit. It suggests that you take a moment before you hit that ‘Publish’ button to really ask yourself - how would someone critique the post? You will be a better writer for having read this post, I guarantee it!

3. Blog Neworks, To Join Or Not To Join? That Is The Question: Talks about blog networks and how Jason was approached by Antonio Marques of Digital Folders to be part of the network - he accepted.

4. How To Create Your Blogs Perfume Page: A great article discussing the key aspects of your blog that will make it remembered by others for a long time to come. Key points range from good graphics, persona creation and blog themes.

5. 100 Why Not Activities For Bloggers: Huge amounts of link love present here, a really great article that people should read when they are all out ideas for blog posts and blog customization.

Site Metrics and Analytics: At the present point in time Jason Boom has a Technorati Authority of 134 putting him at an overall rank of 46,742. This is quite an impressive Technorati ranking for a blog with articles dating back to month of January only. The Alexa rank impresses even more, it is currently sitting at 133,113. Jason Boom has some pretty good linking statistics with 205 pages indexed in Google at the moment and a total of 3000+ inbound links. On a final note, Jason Boom has dropped BlogRush (with good reason as it broke its promise to so many bloggers to bring in ‘floods’ of traffic). Jason is now using Spottt link exchange (a service from AdBrite).

Metrics from MarketLeap!

Final Words of Wisdom: In conclusion I just know that Jason Boom will experience even more growth in the future, his FeedBurner chicklet is currently displaying 70 RSS readers which is a fantastic achievement. He is developing a community that is unstoppable! Good luck and all the best for the future Jason Frye.

What a great example of creating a brand! It’s easy to choose a stock theme, (I did, I know) but to create something so unique is likely to pay off well for him.

    Thanks for sharing!
