Small Fish Big Money Supports Developing Nations

March 22nd, 2008 by Fabien

Kiva, Loans That Change Lives! As you may have noticed, in our right sidebar we are running a widget for Kiva, Kiva is an organisation that puts everyday people like ourselves in touch with people from less fortunate parts of the world. I have always wanted to help people who are struggling in less developed countries and Kiva gives me that opportunity to get in touch with them.

Kiva and Small Fish Big Money: At the end of each month I will donate 10% of the blogs earnings to one of the unique entrepreneurs featured on Kiva, this will help them to buy whatever materials they need to keep their businesses alive. I hope you can all support me in this journey by supporting the blog, if you feel you want to help as well you can do so by going to The Official Kiva Site

It is important for us to recognize that not everyone in the world has the facilities many of us take for granted. A computer is indeed a luxury, a house that does not have a leaking roof is a luxury, a bed that you sleep on is a luxury. We should all take a moment to realise the luxuries we do have and think about giving back to the community once in a while.

I hope that you can all accompany me on this journey to help poorer and less fortunate people worldwide. Whether it be purchasing sacks of wheat, bags of rice or boxes of toothpaste, these people don’t always have the fund to get ample supplies, you can help them sustain their businesses by donating. So I urge you to show your support today by being a lender.

Hey Fabien, great job on this. I really think you should be commended for taking this kind of step towards helping those less fortunate.

Micro loans are really great from what I’ve heard so far, and it looks like you’ve picked an awesome site to take part in.

Thanks for letting me know about it, I’ll definitely have to look into it myself in the future. Keep up the great work!

Thanks for the comment Tim, I have always wanted to help the less fortunate and this is a way in which I can do it. By having the widget on my sidebar, I am raising awareness - it is really great because with every page load you get a different person from a totally different scenario needing a loan. It is legitimate and has been featured on shows like The Lab With Leo and more recently, on FOX News. I hope you can find a way to help too!
