5 SEO And Site Analytics Tools To Destroy Your Competition
SEO, Site Usability and Functionality is quintessential for success online, it can also help to boost your traffic if carried out properly. Below are five tools which you can use to find out which areas of your site are lacking and how to overcome these problems with the suggestions these sites often provide. It’s a competitive world, do you have the tools to beat the competition? Here are a few:
Website Grader
Many readers may already be familiar with Website Grader due to its success in the blogosphere and beyond. It has been included because it is a truly invaluable tool, providing you with information about your site, amount of pages indexed in Google, your Technorati and Alexa ranks; and solutions to issues a site may have.
CrazyEgg
CrazyEgg is a nifty little tool which allows you to investigate what users are clicking on when they come to your site, it generates heatmaps and other associated data to show you what users click on and what they do not. Perhaps it’s time you removed that blogroll with a few too many sites on it as you may be throwing away a few too many visitors. CrazyEgg is available for free and paid for further extras.
QuarkBase
QuarkBase is a powerful solution to discover a few extra pieces of information about competitors in your niche. It is especially good at providing data about social media popularity (i.e. How popular an article was on Del.icio.us, Digg, Reddit etc…) It is a highly recommended tool if you want to find out about more than just the basics of a site.
LinkVendor Professional SEO Tools
LinkVendor has quite a broad range of SEO tools, all with a different purpose in mind. There are a few fun tools like the ‘SEO Challenge’ where you can compare two sites in terms of their SEO, one wins, one loses. There are also other extras which are good to know about and use, for example the website speed test, multi Google PageRank checker and keyword density analysis amongst others. Highly recommended.
SpyFu – Spy on Your Online Competitors
Want to know if a site is paying for traffic? Now you can, SpyFu provides keyword data for both organic and paid keywords. It is particularly useful if you are interested in finding keywords which your sites ranks for (organically) and working on those to better your ranking in the search engine ranking pages. They also offer SpyFu Kombat, where you can once again compare two sites with regard to their organic and paid keyword strategy. Essential for online success.

Thanks for that – I’ll have to check out QuirkBase and CrazyEgg looks super-valuable
Great tools. We use them constantly at our company as well as quite a few others. Thanks for the post!
Thanks for the advice!
I like the tools listed. I would add one more that is wonderful for Wordpress. I use it in addition to Google Analytics.
OWA (Open-Source Web Analytics) http://www.openwebanalytics.com/
It is real time data, tracking which pages each visitor viewed, where they came from, where they left, etc. The real-time part is awesome and a big improvement over Google Analytics. Check it out sometime.
Will: Hey Will! Thanks for sharing this, I will definitely look into it. It sounds a bit like http://whos.amung.us/ but better. I really enjoy real-time tracking as it is an entirely different experience altogether so I am happy you pointed this nifty service out to the community. See you around the site!
Thanks for sharing this information, these sites is worth the try. Keep posting more relevant contents.
Hi! You should also consider http://www.estimix.com They provide a nice summary of the website performance. I trust that you’ll find this very useful cause it seems to use the Alexa traffic information quite well and provides much better traffic information.
